A randomized controlled trial testing extremely low-volume high-intensity interval training combined with iron supplementation against iron supplementation alone for postural control has been published. The work appeared on PubMed on 2 November 2026.

The trial enrolled 33 women aged 18 to 25 years with iron deficiency anemia. Participants were randomly assigned to either the training group or a non-training control group. The intervention ran for 8 weeks.

Authors reported significant improvements in postural control across both groups. No additional benefit was demonstrated for participants who received the training intervention alongside iron.

Four separate nutrition studies were filed in research news feeds on adjacent dates. These cover cooking oil and liver health, sugar intake and breast cancer, diet and male fertility, and ultraprocessed food intake associations.
